ARITSUGU
Artitsugu was named after its founder Fujiwarano Aritsugu, a gifted sword-craftsman of the 16th century. Today, more than 400 years since its establishment, Aritsugu still produces the highest quality knives through its traditional techniques. Their hand crafted knives are highly regarded and considered as a must-have item for Japanese chefs.
TOGEN
Togen originated from Minamotono Masahisa, a sword-craftsman who worked for Genji (the master family of all the warriers). At the end of the Edo era, their second son came to Tokyo and shifted his work from swords to knives, establishing Togen. Today, three generations later, Togen is famous for its time consuming hand crafted knives which have inherited the incomparable sharpness, durability and elegance of their ancestors.
RAN
Ran knives are distributed through Yaxel, a major knife maker based in Seki city, an ancient knife crafting town. Ran is a premium knife range which is made from 33 layers of Japanese Damascus steel. The blades are incredibly sharp, giving precise control and ease of use. Ran knives are perfectly balanced as well as being strikingly beautiful.
